The expiration date of Rhode Island’s emergency rule governing remote work during the coronavirus pandemic was extended a second time, the state’s state department said Jan. 19.
The rule (No. 280-RICR-20-55-14) expires March 19 instead of Jan. 18, the department said on its website. An executive order originally issued by Gov. Gina Raimondo (D) Sept. 2 and since extended allows emergency rules related to the pandemic to be renewed for additional 60-day periods.
